These tighter calls are simple bolstering the ARAs argument to keep guns.

Also I heard "remove gun show loophole" - Ending the ability of a man to exit prison and immediately drive to a gun show, walmart parking lot, or neighborhood park, and purchase any number of guns in a "PRIVATE SALE" - with no background check, no record.



I don't know what I have against that.  If you're not facing charges, if you're not legally mentally unstable, if you're not a felon - NONE of these gun laws affect you.  Nothing stops any legal person from buying guns.

Nothing but lip service.

It is quite easy for a person who is planning to do this to slip through the cracks.

Those closest to them are caught praying for a miracle recover from their psychological issues.  Some people have very little support.

Anybody else has limited time to spend towards rescuing the person before they go off the deep end.

That system only works if the person is red flagged - and even then, a non red flagged person can be robbed of their gun as well as the fact there will continue to be illegal gun trading.

Americans wants to be free to be armed and they need to accept the ramifications - some collateral damage.  Politics doesn't work that way, though - it's all about appearances and right now, the appearance needed is "we're doing something"

That something is just a bit of smoke to keep the voters happy.  Guns are a disease in the US and it's way too late to do anything about it.
