i NEVER cheat when im bulking - and if i do my conditioning is completely fucked for the rest of the bulk. yes, for weeks on end (if i dont make up for the excess calories).
if i make up for the excess calories its still a huge waste of time since it takes a couple days to lose the excess water and then a couple days to fill back out.
for me i REALLY gotta stay strict on bulks.
however on cuts i can eat 2 days worth of calories in a single meal and still have my conditioning back 2-3 days later.
of course ill be bloated as fuck for 1-2 days but when youre really depleted a cheat meal doesnt do any harm.
very little excess carbohydrates actually get converted to fat (de novo lipogenesis) if youre depleted and ingest them within a short time frame (and especially post workout). chronic overeating makes you fat, not cheat meals (that being said, if you eat 20$ of McDonalds and a gallon of ice cream as your cheat meal youll still lose very little weight if any at all- even if you starve yourself for the rest of the week).
ive had cheat days that i needed a whole week to make up for before... thats why i only do cheat days. and dont cut on tren anymore
imo you should never cheat when bulking unless youre a true ectomorph. and keep cheats to a single meal on cuts.
