On Thursday afternoon, George Zimmerman, the Florida man who was charged in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, tweeted nude photos of a woman he claimed cheated on him "with a dirty Muslim."

In addition to posting a topless photo of the woman, who is identified in the tweet by her first name, Zimmerman also included what appears to be the woman's phone number and, in a second tweet that contains another nude image, her email address. (Mic has blurred the woman's face and identifying information in the images below.)

link has the details.

Neither the images nor the woman's contact information appear to have been posted consensually, likely making the tweets a violation of Florida's sexual cyberharassment law, which Gov. Rick Scott signed earlier this year. Florida is one of 17 states to enact legislation regarding the posting of nude images without consent within the past several years, according to Reuters.

Part of a nationwide effort to curb "revenge porn" online, the law makes it a misdemeanor to post or transmit nude photos that include subjects' identifying information without their consent. The crime is punishable by up to one year in prison, Reuters reported.

Efforts to curb online harassment, specifically revenge porn, picked up last year after scores of celebrities' nude photos were hacked and posted online, sparking a nationwide discussion about sex crimes on the Internet. Several female stars who were targeted in the attack, including Jennifer Lawrence, have been outspoken about the criminal nature of the violation.

"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change," Lawrence told Vanity Fair last year.

Zimmerman, who was arrested in January for alleged domestic violence, has been involved in several violent incidents since he was acquitted of killing Martin in 2013. Coincidentally, he happened to post his tweets on the same day former revenge porn impresario Hunter Moore was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for operating the now-defunct revenge porn website Is Anyone Up.

George Zimmerman's Twitter account has been suspended since the photos were posted.

Can't be a right wing icon.  Or Republican at all.  Since it includes a member of the opposite sex.

He isn't a right wing icon.  Most right wingers, including myself, think he is a worthless piece of shit.  All that being said, when trayvon followed and assaulted him, he had a right to defend himself

Glad you cleared that up. People should not get the impression those on the political right support nut jobs. Hmm, speaking of nut cases, what is your opinion of the Donald?

I think he a pompous jackass.  At the same time, I think the appeal is that he is saying things that many Americans are thinking yet too afraid to say due to liberal criticism (being called a racist, sexist, etc).  The general public is tired of career politicians.  While he may be a billionaire, he isn't the conventional politician.  I can't imagine that i would vote for him, nor do i think he will win, but it wouldn't shock me either.

I agree that a lot of folks don't trust politicians, making these candidates with no political background seem attractive. The chief of staff is not a training position, although Obama had no experience either when he took office. We will get what we get and hopefully who we vote for (that's not always the case). Donald Trump scares me as does Carson. I realize the pendulum swings, but it might be good to elect someone who is not on one radical side or the other. I'm just not sure who that might be at this point.

More and more the options we get are all lacking in some way. Being President is a difficult and thankless job. Is it any wonder we have trouble finding truly viable candidates? Who in their right mind would want to be president? Is it any wonder we end up pick the best of the worst?

One problem is the media which thrives on disaster. It sells more adds portraying the U.S. as being in deep trouble. People believe this crap and often base their vote on who promises the greatest change. The economy tanked in 2008. For the most part it has recovered. Bush was elected because he campaigned on taking down what he called the "axes of evil" not once, but twice.. Interestingly, not he nor Obama has been able to squelch it. It just morphed into ISIS and now we have candidates who are counting on our fears to get elected.
