I like the new movies better, Wes.

Kirk's sexual depravity and rapid thought process are highlighted better.

I'm also relieved they didn't try a Leonard Nimoy caricature.

Would be nice if someone wrote new stories, though.

I hear ya`.....some of the new stuff is awesome.

The constant rehashing of old plots gets tiresome.


Can`t these guys think up any new ideas for movies?

That won't happen until customers refuse to watch reboots. They even remade "Point Break" and "Dirty Dancing" is allegedly coming out next year.

I can hardly wait to see them.  

Haven` seen the "new" Point Break,but it`s hard to imaging that it would come anywhere near close to being as good as the original.


Next they`ll try a remake of Citizen Kane or The Godfather, or they`ll put together a  Godfather Part IV.

Didn't like the trailer and I loved the first two new ST movies.  I know they used the Beastie Boys in the first one, but they didn't need that on top of the trailer here.

Would rather hear the iconic soundtrack than a music video.

This is basically Star Trek: Tokyo Drift.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I can't wait to see this!
I'm a huge Star Wars and Star Trek fan, so I watch pretty much anything coming out of those series. No matter how bad haha. I gotta admit though, this trailer does have a lot of cringe-worthy cheesy lines I'm not a huge fan of. At least they started putting some decent action into the last few movies, which attracted a lot of people who didn't grow up as Trekkies.

im a huge star trek fan myself, that's why i hate the new movies. they're nothing like the books or tv shows. they're basically fast and furious movies in space, boring and predictable.

Yeah, they have nothing common with the old classic movies and series.


Only thing common that they've borrowed the characters and some backstory, the rest is totally different and not in the same spirit at all.

It's like if Michael Bay saw one episode of Star Trek and then made a movie.

Smaug Cumberbatch as Khan Noonien Singh was shit as well.
