"Idiot idiot idiot"
Really?
The truth is that all religions of the Abrahamic branch show a considerable degree or violence in their premises.
This is true to an extent but I would still argue that Islam is definitely much more problematic than the other two Abrahamic faiths.
The biggest issues with Islam is that it justifies war/conflict under certain circumstances. This means Muslims with any political grievance will readily engage in violence - using their scripture to argue that they are acting in accordance to their faith.
Muslims also believe that Muhammad was a perfect man and led by supreme example. However, Muhammad was simply a man of his time and therefore, did things which would be considered unacceptable by modern standards - yet due to his "perfection" in the eyes of Muslims, all his acts (no matter how questionable) are seen as noble.
Finally, Muslims believe that the Koran was not inspired by God, but is actually God's literal word. Therefore, nothing written in the Koran can be debated or dismissed. Thus, it is far more difficult for moderate Muslims to challenge for any reformation which the religion so desperately needs.
I don't hate Muslims since I have several friends who are Muslim and have even attended a few Islamic weddings. However, anyone who claims that there isn't a major problem within Islam or that Islam is no different to Christianity is either being dishonest or incredibly naive.
