Met Greg in person here in Canada back in the day. He was a huge dude, at least 6'2"-6'3" and close to 400 pounds (offseason), but nowhere near having the raw muscle development that Vic had.

From that pic you can see that he had a bigger chest, bigger arms than Dorian, and had good quads. But, dieted down, Dorian would destroy him. Vic's bulk would disappear and it would show his weaknesses. High lats, lack of back thickness in the Rhomboids, etc. About the only thing he could match up with Dorian in this hypothetical competition (remember, both in comp shape) is chest, arms, and quads, and possibly calves.

The angry Beiderbecke asked the crowd, “Don’t you want to see Victor cut and in competition just once? Has this guy the guts to walk onto the Mr. Olympia stage? What will he look like when he diets down? Right now he looks like a water balloon. How can he call himself a natural while looking like a water tank?”

 Nevertheless Victor continued posing and afterward spoke of having overpowered Yates. Such was his conviction that he had overshadowed the Shadow he apologized to Yates for making him look bad. Victor was just about the only one who held that view and a bemused Yates just replied, “Oh, alright mate. Funny old world innit?”

The truth is he didn't want to use steroids that were necessary to compete for contests in pro bodybuilding.

He quit while being a natural so that he wouldn't have to compromise his morals by becoming a drug user.

If Dorian had wanted to, he could have come in to the 1994 FIBO at 310LB... and dwarfed Vic.

Peter McGough indicated that Dorian was around 280... obviously it was Dorian's down time.

Dorian was NOT treating the FIBO like a competition. Vic, however, was treating FIBO as if it was a competition.

Yates, Dillet, Wheeler, ect were there just to meet their contractual obligations. Vic knew that they would all be at their smallest, so he loaded up on the juice... and tried to make it a competition.
