What was the bber and theme of the article?i remember first i got was named 'Don Long on triceps'.i think the article advocated 30 sets or so for triceps, all while telling Don was a humanitarian, heavily involved in charity, lets the disabled live in his home, all his income goes to the blind.Don also liked to wear check vests and daisy dukes while shopping.

I collected Muscle and Fitness and Flex magazines. This used book store had a motherload back in the 90's. I literally bought ever issue dating back from 1979 until 1997 and continued to collect into the early 2000's.

I remember years ago(bout eight)walking in the city minding my business and coming across this used book store. There was three overfilled racks of old issues of every kind of Muscle magazine you could think of.

I bought a few, for just a couple bucks each, and even went back and bought a few more the next time I was in the area.

Looking back I had been to many, many used book stores over my lifetime, yet I never saw the plethora of muscle magazines that I saw in that one used book store many years ago. In fact I don't recall many, if any in the other stores I had been to

Those other used book stores also were not in the area known as the gay village. This one was right in the centre of the action.

My favorite was the one where bertil Fox and Beretta are training with Joe Weider, about the mid-eighties more or less? I found it humorous years later as Beretta was on trial for murdering his wife or girlfriend and bertil fox was in jail for murder

I was 17 with pics of the Helsinki Olympia on my wall to encourage me to lift the 110 pound weider weight set in my screen room each morning.

I'll totally kick my son's ass should he ever take this path.
