Which is OK, since he isn't relevant in my book. But in all fairness, he had some interesting guests like Doug Brignole and Jerry Brainum

Would you trade your mortality to immortality, but you would have nano sized computers in your brain sending every thought/feeling/physical health/etc etc etc. to 3rd parties 24/7, and sometimes these 3rd parties would influence your thoughts and emotions without you knowing about it?

Sure. I feel like google is already doing that.

If everyone lived forever, the things you think will bring you pleasure now would surely lose every meaning to you in the long run and then you're just like; "well shit.."

I would never exchange mortality for that, ever, but that's just me.

So you'll be dead and buried and I'll still be around kicking and getbigging.  Fine with me.

I'm 50, natty and still doing: 100lb DB flat presses, squatting 250 for 15 full reps and pulling 405 for a few reps.

What's been working for me is:

- Using moderately heavy weights, but no sets under 5-6 reps.
- More rest days (train, off, train, off, etc.)
- Avoiding exercises that ruin/destroy joints.
- Eat 4x meals day.
- Avoid sugar/desserts.
- Cardio 2-3x a week (only on non-workout days)
- Never bring a phone to the gym... ever.

This seems to be pretty sensible.

I'm a tad younger though, so I've embraced the concept of utilizing the phone to enhance/track workouts, and have no issue incorporating cardio/conditioning on weight days.

I suppose the key is to do what you can to be as healthy as you can.

You might be right but then you can leave on your own terms.

I separate cardio and weight training days to prevent burnout/fatigue.  I've done too much in the past and my workouts suffered.  Weight training is more important to me than cardio.

Getting old sucks.  I can feel my T levels dropping more and more every couple years.  I'm going to delay starting TRT until it's absolutely necessary, maybe 10 years from now.

Running and squatting with heavy weight just don't go well together.I could never make that work, at least not for gains.

I think you have a good approach, and the weights we use are pretty similar.  If you're pressing 100 lbs DBs and DLing 4 bills, I think you're smart to delay the TRT.

I've gotten to the point where I just can't lift weights for too long - for me I don't see much difference it going for more volume, and would rather run, sprint, push the sled.  All subjective though - we do what works for us.

I did Wendler's 5/3/1 yesterday, plus assistance work, then finished with 20 or so interval sprints.

I don't think that will hurt me.
