You're right. Maybe bring it back with an over the shoulder, chest pack or something?

IMO, the basic design is okay, just add a little more style.
This is a current new balance "waist pack". I would change the colorway and materials, but from a form perspective, I don't think it looks bad at all. I prefer it to the traditional "sagging, belted banana hammock" look.  People won't be wearing them to church or the opera. It would look fine with casual or athletic gear.

We're talking about real men who wear fanny packs, not skinny twink male models.

Those Nikes he's wearing were big back then. I had a pair:

Your jealously exceeds the storage capacity of even the largest fanny pack:

But fanny packs aren't just for real men. They are the hottest trend for the hottest celebrities!
Academy AwardTM winner Leonardo Dicaprio rocks a fanny pack whenever he's not starring in Hollywood megablockbusters.

Fellow Academy AwardTM winner likes to show off his ripped abs in a fanny pack and little else!

Former Academy AwardTM attendee Blake Lively likes to look stylish as she tools around town in her fanny pack!

Pop superstar Rihanna knows that style and function go hand in hand when you're wearing a fannypack!

The thread title refers to fanny packs, not who wears them.

Those aren't real fanny packs. They're abominations.

As an aside, another current fashion trend lifted by twink hipsters from 80s bodybuilders is the lumberjack shirt, which we wore because the soft fabric molded to our physiques and highlighted our massive shoulder and trapezius development.

If you listen to Joe Rogans podcast he talks about how he rocks a fanny pack all the time and doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks, he said Dice man inspired him to start wearing them, I think Rogan has his own signature line lol

That's less gay than a fanny-pack.

Not quite, I carry a "murse" for school

A murse is less gay than a fanny-pack because the name admits its femininity.
