Trump - Pence (60 Minutes)
« on: July 17, 2016, 07:36:55 PM »
Any comment on the 60 Minutes appearance?  Show sucks and is typical shit, but wanted to see and watched.

Producers tried to make them look bad imo, but the opposite happened.  I missed the first part but the final several minutes of the interview were good.  The guys outdid Leslie Stahl (or whatever) and held their own.

diana Gov. Mike Pence (R) not only had to be rescued from 60 Minutes’ Leslie Stahl by Donald Trump during their interview on Sunday, but at one point Trump was seen steering Pence toward an answer regarding Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) feud with the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

“Do you think John McCain is not a hero because he was captured?” Stahl asked the governor, referring back to Trump’s disparaging comments about the former Vietnam prisoner of war last July.

“I have a great deal of respect for John McCain,” Pence said before Stahl cut in and motioned toward Trump while asking, “Do you think he went too far?”

Pence is then seen leaning toward Trump, who waves his hand and tells him, “You could say yes. That’s OK. On that one you could say yes. It’s fine.”

Trump then takes over the question, saying, “Hey, look, I like John McCain. But we have to take care of our vets.”

Yes, I saw that part (referring to McCain).

I don't expect them to agree on everything, and the fact is they don't need to.  They'll have time to go over lots of issues and find common ground.  All things considered, they seemed 'real' to me and that's a great change from the norm.  I do wonder if Stahl will attempt to trip-up Hillary and her RM if and when she interviews them.

One thing for sure, is Trump had better be bringing someone along to document everything as he does it.  In this case, he needs to have his own video showing the entire length of time he was at that studio.

Pence is the safe vanilla pick.  Only left wing kooks and commies are upset over this one.  I would have preferred Rand Paul or Susana Martinez, but i get it.

Democrat fags are going to have a hissy fit no matter who was picked.

With his personality being what it is, a woman would have been a better choice IMO than another male.  But Pence is alright, I guess.  Still don't know too much about him, but was reading he's for ending the anchor-baby problem, and that goes a long way to making up for anything dumb he's said about the immigration issue imo.

yeah, pence seems level headed, consistent.  He'd make a good president if Trump gets bored, decides to quit, etc.

It's remarkable how inconsistent and flaky trump is... he gave a coy smile when asked if there's a possibility he'd win and just walk away. "Wait and see..."   Why any man wouldn't deny that instantly, it's beyond me.
