British guys and The Boss.

What's the deal with British guys referring to their wives or girlfriends as 'The Boss'?

Played golf with a Brit yesterday who had to scoot after 9 holes as 'The Boss' only gave him 'permission' to be out until 1pm which allowed him to barely squeeze in 9 holes. I noticed him rushing and getting all jittery around midday. Asked him what's up and he said 'The Boss' wants him back home at 1pm. I asked where he worked and who this 'Boss' guy was that wanted him at work on a Saturday. He appeared confused but said nothing.

It's only when he left some other guy in the group said that both him and his brother are ruled by their respective 'bosses' with their weekends planned ahead on their behalf.

This is not a loaded post btw. Genuinely curious.

I've not had this before with other nationalities.

Is this a common thing amongst the Brits?

Bodybuilding related - He looked like pure shit. Think King Kamali right now.

I mean--sex is wonderful but other than that does anyone really want to be bothered with someone else living in there house/apartment?


and yes--this is my view of relationships and not a forced act

I genuinely couldn't stand living with another person.....I like fucking though....when it rarely happens
