Ok, we won the presidency, congress and senate. The repubs won it all and Trump won literally against all odds. The only thing to hope for is that Trump follows through with his promises. He has good people surrounding him to help make the right decisions. I'm just tired of arguing and debating. But I'll leave it at this.
I've been called every name in the book and said I was "uneducated" by supposed intelligent posters with a higher education that made an attempt to strike debates by critical thinking when in this case it was purely black and white. 240 with his dumbass Socratic questioning to skate an answer or otherwise. Honestly, this shit got exhausting and I'm pretty much over it. To those posters (and you know who you are) that are described above, fuck you, your pompous and smug bullshit got you absolutely nowhere execpt to make total asses of yourselves by someone less "educated" but with enough commonsense to smell bullshit a mile away and call it out.
Yeah, common sense like repeatedly claiming that a major conspiracy, spanning decades and thousands of people, was successfully perpetrated on the whole world, allowing the half-black child of a Kenyan to be elected President of the United States? Such common sense

No debating that the Republicans did amazingly well in the election - even die-hard liberals can't argue that fact. Trump was an unconventional and unusually media savvy candidate with the uncanny ability to tap into the electorate in a very direct guttural way. He was flawed (as all candidates are) but he played this expertly and managed to single-handedly redefine politics and he deserves props.
Anyways. Politics is cyclical - it ebbs and flows. The important thing is what does Trump actually do? Let's wait and see.
Generally, I like my Federal Government a little gridlocked - makes it harder to actually fuck people up the ass when the politicos are trying to agree on exactly how they should do it. But I can't say I'm disappointed to have a Republican controlled Congress - maybe taxes will actually go down and government will shrink a bit, if we're lucky. Besides, one party controls both Houses, I'd rather that party by the Republicans. Can you imagine the shit the Democrats would pass?
