Screw you California - Banning Plastic Bags

Asshole voters here voted to ban plastic bags.  Didn't realize it would already be in effect.  Went to Target to buy some shit and fucker wanted to charge me 10 cents for a bag.  Went to the grocery store next door and same shit.  I don't want to have to fucking carry bags around everywhere I go.  Californians have voted themselves to be a bunch of fucking baggage handlers now.  Reusing bags is just fucking gross.

It is clear that this is going to be a tough transition for you. Most of the rest of the developed world are already there and have been for quite a while. You will either learn to bring your own bags or you will pay the price for the store's....if they continue to have them at all.

Costco offers already used boxes to contain the shit you buy there, otherwise you will independently load each item seperately into your vehicle's cargo space.

I reuse all the bags I get from grocery stores.  Perfect for trash bags, wrapping pizza and bread dough when rising and storing, great to have if you have pets and need to clean up after them, great to store things in, great to use outside when carrying tools, great to keep screws and things separate.

The real idea should be to promote reusage and re-purposing of bags.  Now, whoever makes the bags, no longer will make them and will fire on down the chain from concept to production.  All the uses I mentioned above that people do, will have to go out and buy more useless shit in place which, going with the environmentalist logic, would cause greater harm as more shit has to be produced to fill those voids.

Most people there bring bags or some manner of basket for their groceries. If you forget, you buy a bag to take your purchase home. This was true almost 30 years ago when I first visited there. The U.S. is woefully behind the rest of the world when it comes to recycling and reducing our imprint on the environment.

Here is the funny thing about protesting.  They meet up and make a nuisance of themselves.  Break shit and the like.

If I were organizing a protest, I would gather up all the people and then have them do charitable deeds en masse, put them all to work.  More people would be open to their cause and listening to them and they would actually be doing something productive on a large scale.  Even if it was something like cleaning up the trash on the streets or building things or whatever...

The "be like Europe" idea is silly. On one hand I like the cafe's, bakeries, preservation of historic places, etc. On the other hand the hotels have rooms the size of closets, traffic congestion is as bad or worse than any US city, people smoke like chimneys, taxes are ridiculous, etc.

The idea of eliminating plastic bags is reasonable since they end up in landfills or on the ground anyways. But a voluntary effort is far better than a coerced one. My local grocery store sells grocery bags made of cloth for $1 and I use them. But to each his own. California is a freaking socialist mess and the number of residents fleeing there is huge. All that will be left are illegals and leftists soon. They can have it.

Can't argue with you regarding flight from California. My wife and I fled more than 50 years ago. We ended up being an inspiration for the rest of our family to follow suit. The last time I visited sunny southern California, it seemed like I was in a foreign land much closer to the equator. Never-the-less I miss the beach and the weather.

I lived their briefly and they charged me $20 recycle fee for a tv.  I returned the tv for other reasons and asked for the $20.  They explained, it was a one time fee for whoever bought the tv first?
Aside from overpriced utilities and cost of living...oh and their overcrowded highways...it's a beautiful landscape filled with many like Rich Piana.  The West coast has trash that trumps the East any day.  That's a big statement.  To be fair, the women are impressive.  You can't go to a Target without creeping on a half dozen of them.
The plastic bag law sounds on par for that state.  A very delusional group.  Just look at how they vote every 4 years.

Wish they would make plastic bags en non degradable packaging cost at least 1 dollar (or euro) instead of the measly 10 cents.

The pollution caused by sadistic people to the world's oceans, rivers, lakes and seas is immense.
