I will give you a serious answer - stay with that light weight for a while.  But do them like this: squat down, and I mean all the way down.  Down to where you are basically resting in the full squat position. Count to three, Then come up.  Doing your squats like that will give you almost immediate increase in strength, you'll see.

thats a good answer, so im gonna give it a try

I havnt squatted for around 10 year, dont need to do them to maintain your legs... You can pump out perfect lovely squeezy reps on the leg press instead with out fucking your back/hips or knees

i always do leg press first around 300kg for 20-25 reps, then another 2 sets but the reps will be a lot less bcs of fatique

then i do some front squats about a dozen reps with 140 kg on first set then taper down next 2 sets

then just a bit of leg extensions

that's all you need for quads really no brain surgery

i was able to get 10 good strict full reps with 65 pounds, meanwhile i can close grip bench press 225 for 10 wtf ??? ??? ???

anyways, what's the best way to increase full squat strength? 5 reps, 10 reps, 20 reps, and how often per week?

i'm not looking to gain any size really, i just want to greatly increase my strength

even 185 for 10 full strict reps would be acceptable, but not 65 pounds  :D

5*5 once a week, should be able to add 5-10 lbs per week. Good for 4 -8 weeks. Keep the volume low, they can drain your energy big time if you aren't used to it and go high volume high rep. Good luck.
