This is getting patently absurd. Apparently, we have some black celebrities and other numbskulls who think it's their duty to shame other black people for DARING to participate in Trump's inauguration or even talk to Trump.
First, D.L. Hughley has his panties in a wad because his good friend, Steve Harvey, met with Trump (and Dr. Ben Carson) to discuss the plight of black people in urban housing.
Now, Talladega College is getting blasted for performing at the inauguration. This is a small historically black college that doesn't even have a football team (notwithstanding the fact that the bands are more popular than the football squads at HBCUs anyway) and uses its band to make money for the school.
They needed $75,000 to cover expenses but raised only about $6300, as of a week ago. And the school's president has been getting crucified by certain Negroes for DARING to perform for Trump. Of course, the school applied for the chance to do the Inauguration months in advance, before the winner of the election was determined. Now certain butt-hurt black people want the band to drop out since Trump won.
The story caught O'Reilly's eye. And Dr. Billy Hawkins (president of Talladega College) appeared on the Factor. As a result, the school racked up over $368,000 to make the trip and then some. HBCUs need all the help they can get, and since most Hollywood goofies want nothing to do with the festivities, why should they try and cripple this school's ability to get some name recognition.
