Mass as you know I am from Dutchland. If you follow some of the usa news channels it is unbelievable how bias they are it is like night and day when you compare CNN with FOX. Each pushing theire own point of view and because of this you dont know what to believe. The Dutchland news broadcasting is always a bit left winged but pushing an agenda so openly is unthinkable. How is this in Finland?
Yes, I find it weird and funny too. Even North-Korea'sque from time to time. Same in political talk; it is very sharp-tempered compared to European discourse. It's the political tradition which differs from ours. US politics is helluva lot more entertaining to follow though.
Here the media is leftist in general but they somewhat try to have balanced approach. I imagine pretty much the same as over there in the Land of Dutch.
One exception to this the daily newspaper "Helsinki Times".
During the Cold War they were quite pro-USSR and probably were to some extent under KGB influence.
Now the same publication is extremely pro-USA and openly promote NATO-propaganda. It resembles a bit what I see in, say Fox News.
They are the epitome of the saying "you sing the songs of the one whose bread you eat". Not good independent journalism at all.
