No ofcourse you're not fat.  Go to the mall and watch the lardasses spilling out of their pants, those people are fat.  BUT you're no where near ripped.  I think you would probably have to lose at least 20lbs of fat to get into contest shape and probably more (It's hard for me to gauge because I don't know your height, but if you're over 6'0" probably closer to 30 lbs of fat).  If you did that your waist would be back to it's original shape, and with a little bit of creative posing would look even smaller.  So don't worry about carrying too much abdominal muscle.  Natural Bodybuilders don't need to worry about abdominal overgrowth, it's just a matter of getting lean.

I have wide obliques too.. the only way to make them shrink sort of is to make everything bigger ... and diet... When I play b-ball i find my obliques are sore so if i were to do abs the next day i would omit training them. Mentzner had the same problem so your in good company regardless....

Arnold suggested seated and standing twist..

Can somebody help me out. I want my waist to go back down to 29 inches like it used to be but like an idiot I trained my obliques for one month and out they came :( Can I just twist with the bar for an hour to get rid of obliques?

Don't you know anything about training?  Spot reducing is not possible.  You can work on your chest and legs to give the illusion of a smaller waist, but theirs no such thing as spot training.  Train everything and the obliques will respond accordingly.

Explain that one to me. I lift my legs up instead of torso?

BayGBM would rather demonstrate.  PM him.  He's a great personal trainer and would work the shit out of you :o
