Back when I was a kid in the mid 80s and he was fresh with the Cowboys he said he used to do 1000 push-ups and 1000 situps each day. I remember riding with my Dad in his truck talking about it.Oh how legends do grow.
Like Leroy Colbert's arm claims. His gimmick for the longest time was "The first bodybuilder to build 20" arms." Then when 20" arms were no longer a rare thing, he changed his gimmick to "The first bodybuilder to build 21" arms."
