Obama is grifting off others for now - until he has to pay for it himself.

He is a deadbeat and was almost bankrupt w credit card debt once before - coming soon.   Especially once fat ass Michelle runs off w a tranny and he gets stuck in those Bohemian Grove groups and starts recklessly spending everything

Not surprised our dopey phony "coach" thinks this is real news or even true

LOL @ "under fire from the left" with their two sources being an ex Jimmy Carter "strategist" and someone from the Houston Socialist Movement

I hope his next stop is Bums island for an extended stay

Joe, why are you so obsessed with what some skinny Kenyan-born half-white, half-black man does? A lil' jealous of his lifestyle perhaps?

I don't like Obama's politics. I though that he was a bad President on almost all the issues (I guess I was ok in his support of classifying broadband connectivity as a telecommunications service) and that he squandered many opportunities to improve the country by sticking to liberal positions that were largely out-of-touch-with mainstream America.

But I can't say the guy didn't work hard. The Presidency is a hard job, at least when one takes it seriously; his politics aside, he seems to have taken it seriously, which I think is the case for most Presidents. So, if after eight years doing a job that is stressful on the best of days, he now wants to splurge and go on vacation from his vacation, then more power to him.

The criticism by other Democrats is petty and but a thin veil pulled over their actual complaint, which is: "Wah... Obama isn't doing anything to challenge Trump. Wah... Wah... Wah..."

I can say it.  I think he was lazy.  He skipped intelligence briefings.  He failed to meet with legislators on regular basis to try and get his agenda passed.  Even members of his own party criticized him for failing to lead (read "work hard") and that he liked running for office, but not actually doing the work once elected.  That's from his own people.

It's true that the job itself is tough, although not everyone who has it puts in the work required to be successful.

The fact that your description applies, exactly as written, to any number of Presidents—and perhaps best to Donald Trump—amuses me greatly.

Again, I see little evidence that Obama didn't work hard, golf outings notwithstanding. I may disagree with the man when it comes to politics, and I may think that he wasn't one of our better Presidents (though, I suspect that the era of good Presidents is long gone and it ain't comin' back). But he seems to have put in the effort. It is possible that my asssessment is wrong, of course.

Yeah, I'd imagine it'd be one of the toughest ever IF the person in it intends to do right by us.

So it isn't hard for me to agree with you that Obama badly slacked.

Doesn't apply to Trump at all.  You don't build a billion dollar business, becoming one of the wealthiest men in the world, without working pretty darn hard.  The things I've heard about Trump and his work ethic is he is a workaholic.  I haven't seen anything to suggest he hasn't carried same work ethic into the White House.  Night and day difference between Trump and Obama.

I just gave you evidence of Obama's lack of work ethic, including skipping daily intelligence briefings and failing to work with both the GOP and his own party (no meetings, phone calls, etc.), resulting in criticism of members of his own party that he didn't actually like governing.

I do not believe he put in the effort.  He is arguably the luckiest individual of my lifetime after getting elected with the thinnest resume I've ever seen for a president, but he is a phenomenal politician.  Or should I say, he's a master at getting elected.

Obama would have to go on round trip vacations on Mars to exceed fat Trump's excessive spending.
