Not sure about Kovac I think he was listed as 6'5" or 6'6" ...

Paul Dillet is 6'1" but Joe Weider "Sold him" in his publication as 6'3" tall

I've always remembered kovacs being listed at 6'2". Only 6'5"  guys I'm aware of are Lou and some German fella. Then you have Quincy Taylor at 6'3" and some other guy I'm forgetting

Not really super familiar with the Kovacs tragedy.  Obviously he went past some sort of tipping point, but there are shots of him where his waist looks reasonably under control - earlier in his career, obv.



Presumably he was on some monster stack that's been covered on here before, so I'm off for a search.....

The dude was obsessed with knowing what and how much everybody else was taking and making sure he was taking double. 20cc at a time in each glute or running into a dealer who had some masteron at some gymnwhile doing ban appearance and buying and shooting 20amps in a burger king bathroom just because.

Whole goal was to get bigger bigger bigger and movingbasnmuch weight as possible. 3000lb leg presses built those legs. Compare them to somebody who "only" presses 1200 and who's quads andnlegs actually look like a bbers.

Lou was never a legit 6'5". He WAS 6'4" legit. Today at 65 years old and having had hip replacements, he's between 6'2" and 6'3".

I've been in the company of the biggest of the big, and believe me, Kovacs was simply inhumanly gigantic.

I stood in a smallish washroom while Greg gave me and Paul Gardiner a preview of his physique, as he was beginning his prep for the Canadian Nationals, weighing 385, and he was NOT fat. True, his ab wall was titanic, but the man's sheer muscular bulk was something the likes I haven't seen since.

There was zero chance he would live a long life.

Words cannot express the muscular size of "prime" Kovacs.

I can well believe you.
Unfortunately for him all that immense size didn't come across
On a pro bodybuilding stage - where it looked like his legs & arms
Lacked enough size - plus that huge gut / waist area - must have
Been nigh on 50lbs of his Bodyweight in that area alone.

He must of had the bone thickness of an elephant.

That's why detail is important in bbing. Look at a pic of Dexter or Flex Lewis or Flex Wheeler by himself and they look 280lbs andn6ft tall. Now look at kovaslcs and he looks 220lbs at whatever it.. 5'9" or whatever... No detail and just sheer size may work wearing clothes next to others but not in bbing
