case in point is flex was best @ 215 or so and francis benefetto was best @ 175 or so

francis later got over 2 bills with thd same conditioning that he had @ 175 and he looked worse

King Zane looked best @ 185 or so, he got to over 2 bills at the same conditioning he had @ 185 and again... LOOKED WORSE

Somewhat like Ronnie. Ronnie looked good up until his 3rd O, but looked his best at either 98 or 99. Bodybuilding, especially when it comes to Olympia winners, is not really about progressively refining. But about progressively looking freakier at the expense of destroying the base physique, so that it looks more grotesque than the physique that was first presented as a rookie or before that Physique was winning the Olympia.

I think Robby got blackballed. They didn't want a guy with a huge Afro winning the O, plus he was a veteran of Vietnam. Too much controversy.

I had a conversation with Robby about the 79 Florida pro show that I saw him take 2nd to Mentzer. He should have won, he looked unreal. He said he was told that certain judges don't want no Ni**er to win. Those were his exact words.

If Phil would have just stayed like this and just continued to refine his physique, I'd have no problem with him still winning. As was mentioned, his abs even looked good here. Same with Ronnie before he fucked up his physique after his first 2 Olympia wins.

If they chose winners based on marketability than Lee Labrada would have been a 10 time Mr Olympia winner. He was Weiders wet dream. College educated , immigrant , married family man , good looking , well spoken , an " attainable " physique

he was as tall as the average woman and looked even more tiny standing next to the elite guys

Dorian improved all the time. He looked a bit bloated in the gut in the last year but he also was ridiculously massive where Phil stays the same but his gut just grows.

Ronnie was also good until 2005 then his injuries got to him.
