...and? The article used the directly comparable circumstances in NYC to show that the rise in crime can't be attributed to that alone. That wasn't an opinion. It's a fact.
No need to scour your left-wing professors' tweets. That one's all mine, but I'm pretty sure I've seen you post a variation of that here: that police are so afraid of getting into legal trouble these days that they're keeping a lower profile.

Big difference between New York City and the other cities. None of them ever had a Rudy Giuliani. Chicago hasn’t had a Republican mayor since I believe 1927.

It’s always been the case the cops in those neighborhoods don’t want to get involved. I have friends who were cops there 20+ years ago who told me that same thing. Blacks want to believe cops spend the whole day looking for new and innovative ways to oppress them when in fact all they want to do is collect a check as easily as possible. However, the behavior in those areas is so bad the cops have no choice but to get involved.

At the end of the day, I got numbers. You got excuses.

This is from the Washington Post article linked in that paragraph that you omitted:
Quote
(Notice, too, that Giuliani's claim that he deserves credit for New York's crime rate is also overblown. The plunge began before he took office, in parallel with a sharp national drop in crime levels. It continued after he left.)Crime in New York declined quickly after 1990 and has generally stayed low. There was a brief uptick last year at the same time as a further drop in the stop-and-frisk count, but in four of the past five years, levels of crime fell alongside the number of stop-and-frisks. Supporters of the policy often point specifically to gun crimes as a rationale for its use (since the policy often aimed at finding illegal firearms on suspects), but 2016 saw the fewest shootings during the first six months of the year in decades.

The dip began with the Democrat mayor that preceded him and continued under the RINO (when it's convenient) and then dem that followed him. It was a trend that occurred all over the nation.

We’ve gone over this. Rates were going down because whites were getting more peaceful. It was despite blacks. Now rates are going up because of them. Whites are still getting more peaceful.  Black violence is on the rise. New York has an abnormal number of blacks. Without Giuliani it would’ve lagged well behind the country.

I know Al has OCD. I just like seeing how long I can string him along.

How do you explain this, Al? ;)

And this? :'(

CDC: Genital Herpes Among Black Women High : NPR

https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=124628530

Disturbing news, this week, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The federal agency reported that 48 percent of black women between the ages of 14 and 49 have herpes simplex virus type 2, or HSV 2 as it's called. Overall blacks and women were much more likely to be infected. The prevalence among all women was almost 21 percent compared to 11 percent for all men. Thirty nine percent of blacks were infected, compared with roughly 12 percent of whites.

And when you get done with those, take a crack at this: but to be fair even the white rate is an embarrassment:

Could you imagine having to come up with excuses for all of those things? Must be exhausting.

Gone over what? The drop preceded Giuliani and continued after his most controversial policies were dropped. This post is demonstrably false.

It would be so much easier to simply say “Yeah, I know but what can I do?” Not Al.
