Call me a prisoner of the moment, but as much as I wish Jimmy G success with the 49ers, I'm starting to wonder if we just mortgaged the future of the Patriots....

I know that it would have been insane to have two quarterbacks making huge money, but Brady better play for a few more years to make the trade worth it
Edit: All of this discussion is moot if Brady wins another Superbowl this year. Jimmy was worth more then a 2nd rounder though

It really was a no win situation for the Patriots. Brady is such an anomaly, that Kraft probably believes that he can be a top tier quarterback for 5 more years. In that case, then they easily made the right choice.
I am just glad to see the kid doing well.
