dave d explain how the east was "strong" back in the early 2000's when jordan made his comeback, shouldn't the best and most competitive player ever at least make the playoffs in that shit conference?
you want to compare jordan to Mr. Levrone, that's silly one guy accomplished everything while the other guy had unfinished business and possibly needed the money and missed the spotlight, jordan's legend and wealth grew in retirement, you can't say that about a bodybuilder that didn't quite win it all
you blame lebron for losing to the spurs? he led the series in points with 28 and led his team in steals, assists and blocks, wade averaged 15 a game while bosh had 14 and allen had 9 but yeah lets all blame the king because it's so cool to hate him and god forbid he surpass your precious jordan
the fact that you hold him to such unrealistic standards is proof you think he's the best, you just can't admit it to yourself
E
Was Jordan still the best player in the NBA at 39 & 40? Or 2nd best, or 3rd?
Maybe he was just the best player in the East? Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Paul Pierce, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Jason Kidd were probably better than Jordan at this time. Players that were more his equal were Antonie Walker, Baron Davis, Jamal Mashburn, Reggie Miller and Stephon Marbury.
So where do you think 39 year old Jordan ranks against those players at that time?
Do you think 39 year old Jordan is better than 39 year old Kobe, or same age Ray Allen, or same age Vince Carter, or same age Allen Iverson, etc.... we know that old Jordan was substantially better than any of the above players at the same ages.
Did the 4 year layoff help Jordan? He came back fat and a completely different player. Maybe he thought to highly of his Bulls legacy and he shouldn't have retired after the last championship. Who knows how that would have played out.
You think LeBron is better than Jordan and that's fine. I think he is more physically talented, but what's interesting is that Jordan at his peak was so good that he made hall of fame players look average in comparison (and you confirm this by saying he beat no one) yet peak LeBron, for all his gifts, has run into unbeatable dynasties.
Who's making excuses?
So it's not Lebrons fault his team lost to the Spurs? Was he not the best player in the NBA? Maybe Duncan was, or maybe Tony Parker was or maybe it was Manu.....
Earl I get it that you're trolling and you've never been wrong on Getbig but you come across as very foolish because you won't be objective.
