Has anyone ever noticed what I have noticed

I have noticed that when you eat something sweet that has sugar, after awhile you want to eat more of it again.

I've noticed the same desire with food that is salty and savory as well. What is going on here?

If I've eaten I shouldn't want more, but sometimes I do.....
