Very close contest. In all truth any of the top 4 could have won.

Phil was in good shape. But everyone is tired of his v8 taper and childish attitude.

Not sure Rhoden is the most muscular guy on stage but without a doubt he is the most aesthetic. Glad to see the judges reward that look.

Dex is still the best of the rest but age is finally  catching up with him. Still really incredible though.

Cedric finally shows up in shape and nobody gives a shit.

Not sure if it is photo angle or whatever, but any one of those dudes could've won.  Phil did look horrendous in the "arms over head, ab" pose or whatever it is called.

Great pics. Phil lost it completely because of his midsection, IMHO. Roelly could have been second easily, too.

Went through the first 30 pics and as far as the pics go, Phil should have been 4th in that line up. I don’t think anyone would have complained if Roelly won. Looks insane

Roelly easily could have placed ahead of Phil.  He out muscles him, has equal conditioning, and a much tighter waist.

For the first time in a long time the open division  looked betree overall than the 212 and physique classes. Flex Lewis looked great again but looked the same. I saw that Hadi Choopan placed last wtf happened?

Take another look at Roelly's lower back in those comparison photos with Phil yesterday. He has zero back from the middle down. Phil and especially Kai would steamroll him there.

Also, his legs are soft and lack that rock-hard look that Ronnie, Jay, Shawn, or DeMayo had. His glutes and hams were smooth and lacked detail. He did NOT deserve #1 last night. But he brought his best package yet.

I think he should have bested Phil though. His lower back is about the same as Rowdens. And if you look at Rowlies rear lat spread vs Roadans, Rolie is way thicker.

Sure. But they gifted Phil 2nd place so he'd make a large cash win and not feel like his career was completely over, since the IFBB has a continued interest in keeping him relevant since he generates some interest in the sport outside of Internet forums (news interviews, product placements, endorsements, etc.). Not to mention it would make them look completely foolish to have given him 7 wins and drop him to 4th or 5th. Same way Ronnie didn't deserve 4th place in 2007 but got gifted to spare his feelings and allow him to retire gracefully. No way he should've beaten Wolf that year.

Rhoden looked really good aesthetically, but was lacking mass in certain areas.
Judging by the photos, I would have gone:
1. Roelly
2. Rhoden
3. Ramy
4. Bonac
5. Curry
6. Heath

Could of gone either way - Shawn better flow / lines — Roelly bigger & fuller
Shawn gets it by way of Better overall condition.

Roelly is a beast. I wouldn't have placed him above Rhoden but that's a thick impressive physique.

Dexter's upper body still looks great, his lower body is done though. Still amazing when you consider his age.

I didn't realise Cedric was competing until I saw the full list. He looked off, poor condition.

I've only seen these pics but how the heck did Sergio jr finish 16th?! That was a mid-range physique. Certainly better than the likes of Kuclo.

Am I the only one underwhelmed by the legs of most of these guys? Aside from a few of them their legs just have no separation.
