in reality there's very little difference between the dems and reps they both really just tinker around the edges. neither has the will to stand up to the NRA and arms industry or the insurance corps that rape your @sses for healthcare.
as for more things being accessible, i think technology advances and chinese innovation and cheap labour are more to thank for that than "capitalism".
