Everyone here has some serious , passionate , political opinions and ideas.
EVERY time we get a new President, one side says the world will end, they other think it will be paradise.

I remember seeing a young black woman, crying tears of joy when Obama won in 2008.
She said ; " I don't have to worry about being able to pay my mortgage now."

When Trump pulled off his win in 2016, we had all kinds of emotions revealed.
Who could ever forget the sobbing pics of Hillary supporters posted here  :D.

Despite all the crying and/or dancing for joy, most of our lives don't really change much.
Granted , a few times in history something significant  occurred that really made a difference.

Pres. Lincoln in 1863-65 took steps to free slaves and outlaw slavery via constitutional amendment.
If you were a black slave, that would be a HUGE change for the better in your life.

Most know, I didn't vote for Trump, BUT, I don't think he's the anti-Christ from hell. ;)
In the end , what really matters is: your loved ones , the roof over your head and having a few bucks in your pocket.

Your thoughts?

I'm with Howard on this. While I like discussing political and philosophical matters with you folk, you'll never see me shedding even one tear over who gets elected to the presidency. Is disliking someone an emotional thing? -Does not feel like it to me. Hate is emotional. I hate no one, but sometimes I hate what they say or do.

Whatever "damage" people had over Trump's win is really just temporary or they were already broken.

Many here have no idea that they are actually property on a corporate balance sheet.
