And he was paid more than double what Ronnie was paid in terms of 1st place prize money.

If Phil signed a contract, which allowed the IFBB to continue to use his image, and Phil does not like this, then he should have never signed the contract.

Exactly. It would become a legal matter if they didn't have rights.

Exactly, and considering they are still using image, they still must have legal rights.

Not sure why he wouldn't compete considering the money and the fact that he is huge. These guys baffle me. :-\

He is sitting this one out making sure he is fully healed from the 2nd surgery. He is in Europe doing seminars. Sure he is doing pretty well making himself a few bucks.

Shawn Ray has spoken...

Could this be the Next 2019 Mr. Olympia this September 14th in Las Vegas? With a Lifetime Olympia Qualification. 7X Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath could very well pull an Arnold circa 1980 in Sydney, Australia and show up to SHOCK THE WORLD going for a Record Tying 8 Mr Olympia Victories! I’m not saying he will but one thing we know, He hasn’t said he Won’t!
Thoughts?

From Phil Heath himself (from Ron Harris's interview)

“I am thankful to finally announce that I am not competing at this year’s 2019 Mr. Olympia contest. As many people have known me throughout my career to compete at the sports biggest event, I will be sitting this one out. as I continue to work on other projects, inside and outside of bodybuilding. I haven’t stopped training, as bodybuilding is something I extremely enjoy doing, but at this point in time, I have chosen to bypass this year’s event.”

Neither of those two look anything like that at present.
