I'm familiar with his work and famous quotes , and at 88 (?) he's still going strong.

He makes some interesting points and uses some interesting perspective to make his points.

To be clear, I'm receptive to some of his basic ideology.

I think each person should be judged fairly by their own merits.

Not really. His thoughts and observations make a lot of sense.

Lucky me, I was the first and only child who was raised in more than a couple of economically sound two parent families. None of which qualified for welfare. It's no wonder I am so incredibly intelligent.

Hmm, On the face of it, neither Howard nor I said minorities need welfare. You claim to be a minority....do you need welfare?  Despite my lack of personal welfare experience, it occurs to me that people who legally qualify for public assistance, need it.

Can't speak for Howard, but I am not "well-to-do", just comfortable.

You've always had a penchant for regurgitating (poorly, might I add) bits and pieces from last day's talk radio and an almost worrying inability to formulate a single coherent thought in support of even rudimentary positions; coupled with your strained relationship with the truth and objective facts and I felt inclined to read more about this Sinema character. I started from a blank slate since I knew nothing about her before this exercise.

Objective facts suggest that she's slightly left of center and hardly a socialist. Wikipedia (which isn't necessarily an objective source, but at least links to several sources from which we can draw our own conclusions) has this bit: "According to National Journal's 2013 Vote Ratings, her votes place her near the center of their liberal-conservative scale. The National Journal gave her a composite ideology score of 57% liberal and 43% conservative." Hardly "socialist".

But maybe that's just not an accurate description. I mean it is from Wikipedia, right? Luckily her actual votes are a matter of public record and they seem to quite unlike what the votes of a "liberal socialist" would be. Again according to Wikipedia, she voted in line with Trump's position approximately half the time and "the conservative Goldwater Institute gave her a 35% in 2010 when she was a state legislator; the progressive Americans for Democratic Action gave her a 60% liberal quotient."

So she seems, by all accounts, to be just left of center. Her political positions are unmistakably democrat, but she's no Bernie Sanders and doesn't appear to be a socialist anymore than than you appear to be intelligent.

Yeah, everything “left of center” when you’re so far to the right, your own liver is to your left!

But you seem to have done your research. So how about throwing a pointer to her statement? I’ll update Wikipedia with it, to bring it a little more to the center.

I’ve yet to see real bias from the Google search engine that wasn’t directly attributable to SEO tactics.

The Democrat Party is holding a vote to censure Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema because they perceive her moderate stances and voting habits as too friendly towards President Donald Trump.

The liberal senator is by no means a closet Republican, in fact, she has opposed Trump 81 percent of the time — but that is not good enough for her far-left party peers.

“Here’s the thing: We really support Kyrsten Sinema, we want her to succeed, we want her to be the best senator in the country,” Dan O’Neal, state coordinator for Progressive Democrats of America, told the Arizona Republic. “But the way she is voting is really disappointing. We want Democrats to vote like Democrats and not Republicans.”
