Swift results from Trumps "great and unmatched" wisdom
« on: October 15, 2019, 09:33:52 AM »
update for Trumptards:

 - Our former allies the Kurds are now allied with Putin and Assad
-1000 US Troops trapped in Syria since Turkey has cut off their exit
-50 US tactical nuclear weapons are now being "held hostage" by Erdogan

Quote
Out of necessity, the Kurds switched sides on Sunday, turning their backs on Washington and signing up with President Bashar al-Assad of Syria, a man the United States has called a war criminal for gassing his own people. At the Pentagon, officials struggled with the right response if Turkish forces — NATO allies — again opened fire on any of the 1,000 or so Americans now preparing to retreat from their positions inside Syria. Those troops are trapped for now, since Turkey has cut off the roads; removing them may require an airlift.

And over the weekend, State and Energy Department officials were quietly reviewing plans for evacuating roughly 50 tactical nuclear weapons that the United States had long stored, under American control, at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, about 250 miles from the Syrian border, according to two American officials.

Those weapons, one senior official said, were now essentially Erdogan’s hostages. To fly them out of Incirlik would be to mark the de facto end of the Turkish-American alliance. To keep them there, though, is to perpetuate a nuclear vulnerability that should have been eliminated years ago.

“I think this is a first — a country with U.S. nuclear weapons stationed in it literally firing artillery at US forces,” Jeffrey Lewis of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies wrote last week.

For his part, Mr. Erdogan claims nuclear ambitions of his own: Only a month ago, speaking to supporters, he said he “cannot accept” rules that keep Turkey from possessing nuclear weapons of its own.

So what youre saying is.... when can send in forces to extract our 1000 military personal, bomb everything else into oblivion, wipe out the kurds, the turks, isis, al queda etc....
Thus reducing the global population and which will have a positive impact on 'climate change'?
Seems Trump baited them pretty good.
Anyone else you think we should wipe out while we're at it?
I like your strategy.

I wondered which one of you idiots would reply first

Why would Trumptard (or Congress) approve mass bombing

I thought Trumptard wanted to get out of Syria.

Wasn't that why he pulled our troops aside in the first place

Hey, did you see that Trumptard announced new sanctions on Turkey only one week after he gave Erdogan to greenlight

The only one who got baited and played is Trumptard

Why didn't Trump get our nukes out of there and our troops out of harms way before he lit the fuse on the entire region?

Then again, since this turns out to be a big win for Putin, perhaps that was Trumps plan all along given that Putin owns him

Straw-Kunt.  ::)

Yeah, shove your head even further up your ass and pretend everything that was posted (and reported by numerous sources) somehow isn't true

If any of our troops are killed by Turkey (or Russia or Syria) I'll assume you'll just pretend that didn't happen either

Turkey is a NATO member and as such is allied with the US and other NATO members, several of whom have nuclear weapons.

Although Turkey is a NATO member, it is not a puppet of the US, and can make its own decisions about national security.

As far as the Kurds aligning themselves with Assad and Putin, did you not know these Kurds are communists?

Nukes stored in Europe and Turkey:

https://besacenter.org/perspectives-papers/us-nuclear-weapons-turkey/

"The number of US nuclear bombs currently stored in Europe under NATO auspices is estimated at between 160 and 240, of which 50 to 90 are stored in Turkey. No American nuclear weapons were stored in Britain and France, though they are members of NATO, because both countries have their own nuclear arsenals.

The American nuclear weapons currently stored in Europe and Turkey are B61 bombs. Their explosive yield can be adjusted between 0.3 and 340 kilotons, so they can be used both tactically and strategically. However, according to NATO’s current deterrent strategy, they are intended only for tactical use. In contrast to past years, when some American nuclear weapons in Europe were installed as warheads on ballistic missiles, the B61 bombs are intended to be carried only by aircraft."

B61 nuclear bombs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B61_nuclear_bomb

"The B61 is armed by ground-based personnel via an access panel located on the side of the bomb, which opens to reveal 9 dials, 2 sockets and a T-handle which manually triggers the "command disable" function. One of the sockets is a MC4142 "strike enable" plug which must be inserted in order to complete critical circuits in the safety/arming and firing mechanisms. The other socket is the PAL connector located in the top right hand corner of the arming panel, which has 23 pins marked with alphabetic letter codes.[16]

The B61 also features a "command disable" mechanism, which functions as follows: after entering the correct 3-digit numeric code it is then possible to turn a dial to "DI" and pull back a T-shaped handle which comes away in the user's hand. This action releases a spring-loaded firing pin which fires the percussion cap on an MC4246A thermal battery, powering it up. Electrical power from the thermal battery is sufficient to "fry" the internal circuitry of the bomb, destroying critical mechanisms without causing detonation. This makes the bomb incapable of being used. Any B61 which has had the command disable facility used must be returned to Pantex for repair."

Bc its really all a 3rd world shit hole and we'd be better off eliminating the sum of them and redistributing their assets?
I give no fucks about any of them... and I'll happily buy you a one way ticket since you suddenly seem to care so much about the region.

they are criticising him because he did it without consulting the military or any of his advisers and he's created a huge shitstorm that has potentionally devasting consequences for the region and even for the safety of the US.

B61 nukes are bombs delivered by plane.  Only US planes are capable.

so no one could remove the fissile material to make a dirty bomb?

If they are worthless they why is Ergodan essentially holding them hostage as reported?

Why did we even create a situation where he could hold them over us

Why did we create the situation where are troops are trapped

The entire situation is classic Trumptard cluster fuck based on his belief that he knows everything without having to bother to learn anything or consult anyone who knows something about the situation.

And of course it's a huge gift to Putin.  Weird how that keeps happening.

Turkey is building its own nuke power plants with the help of American and Russian assistance.  They don't need to take radioactive material out of the bombs.

Turkey doesn't have nukes yet but they want them and they have 50 of ours in their country
Best case for us is we get to move them but that's still a shitty outcome for us since we have them there for a reason

No way they'd ever try to use them as leverage against us

That would never happen

I wonder why Pence and Pompeo are heading there right now

It's probably to congratulate Turkey on following through exactly as everyone expected they would do once Trumptard gave them the green light...right?

In the real world the Kurds are just a tool to be used to create problems for the Russians.  Syrian Kurds, who are communists, have gone back to ally themselves with Syria and the Russians.

Turkey establishing a safe-zone, or even further attacking into Syria will only cause the Russians more grief, and further the real goal of the U.S.

Meanwhile, U.S. forces can exit the mess.  Some European nations are even now willing to get more involved (France) than before.

Looks like another win for Trump.

why would the USA care ?? leave the countries like France to care as they are the ones that let ISIS walk in and make themselves at home.
