Corona and the economy
« on: April 05, 2020, 01:13:31 PM »
I read a lot of people talking about how the Corona will affect the economy and we shouldn't do this and we shouldn't do that, its not right to lock down the economy etc.

BUT - every single country in the world, are doing practically the same thing, nobody is putting the economy first. Not one country.

Regardless of if theyre a democracy, if theyre a dictatorship, if it's a small island or a country with a billion people, regardless if theyre politically to the right, or to the left - every single nation are putting the economy on hold.

So for Getbiggers to say "they shouldn't!" seems a little silly.

Surely no country WANTS to do things that hurt their economy if they can avoid it.

This question would be much easier to debate if half the worlds countries did one thing, and the other half the opposite... if there were tons of countries that had other strategies in place, that looked out for the economy etc... but no. NONE OF THEM DO. NONE.

Have the world ever been in such an agreement on one thing before?

NZ, do you think Caliber Fitness Solutions, The Leader in Human Evolution since 2001, will stay afloat?

Europe is going to be hit harder, not with Covid-19 but the following effects of it. With migrants from Africa/Arab lands in the millions. Covid-19 is nothing in comparison.

They will need to think about online orders for soiled thongs as an added revenue stream

China is not doing it.  They will have riches to buy up all American assets for pennies.

It’s pointless to argue with the Trumpers on this site as they blindly agree with everything he says. Don’t waste your time. You can’t win an argument with idiots.

Well, actually because one of the million businesses i run is a medical supply company, I made a huge windfall from it.  In addition, I sold a lot of glycerol through Caliber Gym Supply.

I also have to let you know that I no longer work from home but I leased an office in downtown Greenville.  The name of the business by the way is now called The Goodrum Group.

Any other questions??? ::)

They're all in agreement, becasue all U.N member states are in on it, to lead to a one world government.  Destroying the global economy and killing  tens of millions, in order to save thousands from a virus with a 99% survival rate, hardly makes sense otherwise.

I can understand wanting to save those lives.   Of course we want to prevent unnecessary death.

But it seems that without focusing the isolation and protection on those people and their caregivers - and i mean all resouces down to the test products - then we're doing this backwards.

I must be missing part of the story, and it would be good to know.

I disagree with the shutdown.

However, i disagree because i understand economics and realise the destruction coming for us.

I do not understand the virus and cannot make a call on what actions are really required but i think had it been 'quietly addressed' it would have been far more controllable and the system may have coped better.

How does one with job security in an upper middle class demographic benefit from this? Purchasing real estate at bottom pricing? Starting manufacturing business?

Buy real things at a big discount. Doesn't have to be material or real estate...could be a well established business as long as it is not affected by the social change we are going to see from this.

I saw a car today on the side of the road that I could have flipped and made a few grand. Probably would have been priced higher but for what has been going on this year.

Wondering how long it will be there still for sale. That should be telling of the fear to part with money in my area....a good deal that goes unsold.

I have an itch for an old truck, I have a new German sedan that I daily drive, but I really want a classic truck from the 70’s 80’s.

I imagine I could have some very strong bargaining power now.

I wonder if this is the worst it will get financially, or if we are simply scratching the surface.
