A film released in 1993 predicted that, unlike 99% of other futuristic movies at the time, that instead of an urban wasteland, society would be a pussy whipped, politically correct mess where saying something offensive gets you a ticket from an electronic morality box. "You are fined one credit for a violation of the Verbal Morality Statute"
Guns of course have been completely banned except for in a museum.
People only have virtual sex now because it is explained...
"Rampant exchange of bodily fluids was a major cause of society's downfall. After AlDS, there was NRS, then there was UBT. One of the first things Cocteau did was to outlaw and engineer all fluid transfer out of socially acceptable behavior.". This was before virtual sex, cell phones or even the internet was available to most people.
This would have been on par with a 2001 Space Odyssey or 1984 if Sly didn't fuck it up by demanding it be a Rambo ending with Sly and Snipes with shirts off saying shit like "Come and get me sucka".
But whoever wrote this before Sly butchered the script is brilliant.
