$400      (average?) car payment
$800      (average?) student loan
$100      cell phone (can anyone live without a cell phone these days?)   
$250      internet service and other utilities

Kids (tuition$, toy$, clothe$, etc.), spou$e, car in$urance, health in$urance, life in$urance, retirement contribution$… You cannot pay these bills by being huge and flexing in a mirror.  If you try, you end living in a van outside of Gold’s gym.  So, yes, with few exceptions rented muscles are traded in for adult living.
