2020 Ben Weider Lifetime Achievement Award - goes to Shawn Ray

Want to wish Shawn Ray congratulations on his Ben Weider Lifetime Achievement Award, in which he received in Tampa, Florida yesterday at the 2020 IFBB Tampa Pro contest.  I have known Shawn Ray for quite a long time (went to his wedding), and even after his 13 Olympia appearances (top five in all of them), he continued with a lot of other bodybuilding events (Muscle Camps, Promotor of Contests, Emcee, Digital Muscle, etc).

congrats to shawn. he is a good guy. recomemed me to his eye surgeon. best money i ever spent.

and great bodybuilder. I remember training in having my first public gym membership. i didnt know better and trained barefoot. cause all the old  books i had been reading had only pics of arnold and others training barefoot. so thats what i did. i think it took over s month for someone to tell me anything. then asked me if i was going to compete.

all i could think of was how?

macho man stopped in to train one day cause wwf was in town. all i could think was, man he looks much bigger on tv. was about 5'10. i was only 15.

He may be one but he is/was an excellent commentator on bodybuilding shows.  I'm surprised he hasn't tried to branch out and do more television.

First of all, congrats to Shawn for making it this far in a meagre gains dog eat dog industry - respect to him for being a grafter

But there are a few things about this shot that I need to mention

1.  Shawn looks like he's on a decent Sustanon cycle (or whatever the modern equivalent is) - comeback soon??
2.  I have been lucky enough to hug Lenda Murray once, and she was (relatively) petite to me (6' 1") so exactly how short is Labrada??
3.  Is that Sulu on the end there by the girls..?
