Holyfield didn't have any problems beating Tyson twice before.

and chuck liddel didn't have any problems beating tito ortiz twice before, they both fought again as old men and tito knocked him out

point it the two of them have history, everybody remembers those fights so why aren't they fighting?  roy jones jr is an all time great but he never caught on with the mainstream, hardly any of his fights were on ppv when people were calling him pound for pound best all time

Holyfield doesn't look as spry as Tyson does now -

Holyfield would be a good draw if he was healthy, but right now I think it would do more harm than good in the long run.  He just doesn't look well enough to handle a fight.

Yikes! He looks like he taught BigRo how to throw fists.

Half true, half false. You’re correct that Roy never caught on as a PPV attraction in terms of PPV buys but he did fight 10 times on PPV compared with 13 for Holyfield and 14 for Tyson, so not a huge difference but you could chalk it up to Jones’s style which was pot-shotting and not all that exciting. He also suffered from a lack of big name opponents. He took 17 years to rematch Hopkins and he didn’t face Trinidad until Tito was at the end of his career. He was a dominant champion though and still the only middleweight to win a heavyweight champion. All that said, his chin didn’t hold up over time and Tyson will crush him with the first meaningful punch he lands.

But Jones was known for his speed not his knockout power.  Once his speed was gone he was done.  Tyson probably still has punching power and the videos show speed as well.

He cut 25 lbs of muscle from HW after one fight  That cut also did something to his punch resistance.  We have no clue how his career goes if he doesn't make that move.  The speed was going to go either way like Ray Leonard but it probably would have been more gradual instead of overnight, and I'm sure his punch resistance wouldn't have tanked like it did b/c there were no signs before the HW move.

Holyfield fought way too many fights.  He seems a little mentally slow.
