What you need to know about The Trump Virus
« on: September 30, 2020, 12:33:05 PM »
More than 1 million people across the world have died since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Johns Hopkins University's tally.

Multiple European countries that were badly affected early in the pandemic are now battling to rein in a second wave.

More than 63 million people in India may have contracted Covid-19, health authorities said — about 10 times higher than the official tally.

The United States could see an explosion in Covid-19 cases as fall and winter set in, health experts are warning.

Wisconsin reports highest number of Covid-19 hospitalizations on record
From CNN's Gregory Lemos

Wisconsin reported its highest number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations on record Wednesday.

They have 646 Covid-19-related hospitalizations and just 18% of hospital beds are available, according to the state's Covid-19 website. Thirty-two percent of hospitalized Covid-19 patients are in intensive care units, according to the website.

The state reported its highest seven-day percent positive on record Monday at 17%.

Wisconsin also reported 17 additional deaths Wednesday. For context, the state reported its highest death count on May 27 at 22.

At least 1,317 people have died in total of Covid-19 in Wisconsin.

Why is the world not shutting down to solve malnutrition? 1 million deaths worldwide is nothing compared to other issues that cause death in the millions yearly.

one example.

Poor nutrition and hunger is responsible for the death of 3.1 million children a year. That's nearly half of all deaths in children under the age of 5. The children die because their bodies lack basic nutrients. Globally, 822 million people suffer from undernourishment.
