Remember the Russian dude that was supposed to be the next big thing and unseat Ronnie within a year of turning pro?  (Don't remember if he ever turned pro or not) Alex Fedor or something like that.  Claimed he trained in a grave yard.  Someone posted pics of his graveyard gym and that thing was better than most gyms anywhere else.

Cyplenkov in his prime was the only arm wrestler to ever completely dominate Larratt.  Larratt even stated in a video that he didn't know if he could ever beat Cyplenkov and that he'd never felt strength like that before.  Anyone know what happened to him and why he lost all the size?

It always sounded too far fetched.  Then someone found photos of the gym and it was nothing like they describe.

In the early 1950's, Soviet Olympic lifters were juiced with such large doses of Testosterone that it gave them enlarged prostates, and they had to be catheterized in order to urinate...

No, that's made up.

Otherwise we'd see the whole IFBB lineup today catheterized

They didn't have modern ancillaries (finasteride)...Also the motivation to develop "steroids" in the 1950's was a desire to minimize this side effect.
