It looks like Lance Dreher and Jeff King were there? Two of my favorite bodybuilders. And Kawak carried lots of muscle!

Kawak was the best in the world in 1982 and should have been Mr.Olympia instead of Chris Dick-erson
no biceps and pecs tears, no proeminent elbow

My friends Artie Prince,  Rich Roy, and Joe Gomes kicked ass in that show in the amateur portion.

Our gym was a hotbed of hard training freaks led by King, Matt Dufresne, and Aceto................... ......I miss those days!  :(

I`d like to slap some of the idiots that populate todays gyms!

Samir looks great but he got bigger here and wasn’t as sharp when he won the mro,by 85 Haney size was what was needed or try to catch .

Very underrated bodybuilder.  I think he would have been much more successful if he didn't have a face like Igor.

Yep,,,imagine he came into ifbb  in mid 90s looked the same didn’t age much,,guy was under 5 feet I think.

That looked like a great contest.  I remember seeing Samir years later at the Olympia and he looked nothing like that.  I can see why he won the 83 Olympia.

WTF, apparently he was only 23 years old here?  That's incredible, if so.

It's also quite sad that he died of a heart attack in his mid 40s.  Pedal to the metal from the age of 16, I suppose...
