I agree. I could care less about anyone's sexual orientation or preference. Consenting adults should have the right to live however they choose. I do business with people who happen to be gay, have gay friends, one gay in-law that I know of, etc. Doesn't make a hill of beans difference to me. I don't treat them any differently than anyone else.
But this transgender, throw science/biology out the window thing, particularly as it relates to kids, is a bridge too far for me.
Transgenderism is a tough thing to deal with. Both for those who are or think they are and for the rest of us who have difficultly relating to it. I cannot imagine thinking I was a woman trapped in a man's body or vise versa. Moreover, surgically and hormonally altering one's body to become a different gender seems outrageous and wrong to me. I've often wondered if it is a form of hysteria, where someone becomes so fixated on changing their gender they feel they can't survive unless they do.
Rearranging the toy department to make it gender neutral isn't going to cause a kid think they should be a different gender. Most kids gravitate to the the same toys their friends play with anyway. In my opinion parents would do well to just let their kids be kids.
