They catch a very fair number of guys and girls, heck sometimes near whole teams will get axed. They just caught one of Brazil's top men for HGH -

That being said, it's China, and their doping is down to a science, they've only been caught like 20 times in the last couple of decades, and many of those were in track and field.

The testing is thorough and reduces drug use drastically, if implemented. The problem is corruption, some are protected.

They should have a full 4 year cycle of Olympics and world championships where there is no testing.  Would be interesting to see everyone juiced to the gills and crushing world records.

We haven't really seen any designer steroids out of China, I mean failed tests for new steroids. But yeah, they are in the best position to manufacture them. I hear rumors of variations of hGH that can't be deteced - there are dozens or hundreds of GHs naturally in the body and some could have activity. But this kind of project obviously costs a lot.

I would be curious to see an analysis of Olympic athletes urine, looking for even any legal drugs such as Tylenol and Viagra. The WADA does this to discover trends even before they are banned. Drugs for blood pressure for example such as ARBs. I'd like to see how many are "depressed" and medicated, I mean if you artificially boost adrenalin and dopamine in the brain that could be performance enhancing.

There are a lot of new things we haven't seen over the pond yet. In Beijing they have peptides and designer anabolics that i've never heard of available.

I'm more interested in the gene therapy they have been practicing for decades behind closed doors. I think that could explain a lot too.
