I don't think the Taliban will want China in Afghanistan anymore than they wanted the NATO countries.

Afghanistan...graveyard of empires.

Well, we had to leave Afghanistan at some point so the runways would be left there in any event.

Even if we blew craters in them the Chinee could repair them.

China is our biggest trading partner in the world.
