Tomorrow is Singles Day

I'm not talking about for you lonely ass mouth breathers.

Singles Day (11.11) is the biggest online shopping day in Singapore.  This one day online sales event generates over 7x the revenue that Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined makes back in the US.   Alibaba recorded $1.17 BILLION in sales the first minute they opened.   One minute.  Sixty seconds.

With the circumstances of 2020 last year having an impact out of the norm for everyone and all economies, it will be interesting to see how they fare this year.  When I was there in 2019 there was talk about making a push to lure some manufacturing facilities and brands from South Korea to the area.  Which I doubt will be successful.  But it will be interesting to compare if their overall sales revenue go up and/or if ours go down.
