The tests are simply picking up coronavirus which is by definition a cold/flu

To test for a specific variant takes time and money and they ceratinly arte not spending that on every PCR test

As I explained in my post, her family WAS TESTED and tested positive for Covid. All of the symptoms I had were identical so I assumed as much as I was around them before I got sick. I am not getting tested because I don't want to be quarantined for 2 weeks and have medicos pressuring me to get the jab. The symptoms of Omicron are similar to the other strains except lack of appetite is a major symptom.

So you weren't tested for Covid or Omicron.  You don't really know if you had that or had a cold or flu.  Maybe you did, and it seems logical because of how it developed, but you really don't know.  At best you can say that there is "some evidence" that you had Covid.  I don't think you can even say that with regard to Omicron because the symptoms overlap with Covid and no one from whom you may have got it was tested specifically for Omicron.

How do the omicron symptoms differ from the delta symptoms or the original COVID-19 symptoms? From what I've read, the severity of the omicron symptoms depends on one's vaccine status. Unvaccinated folks have the worse symptoms. People with one dose have less severe symptom and those with all the vaccines have the least symptoms.

The narrative is collapsing quickly.  Biden ordered 500 million home tests, but now home tests admitted to be worthless for Omicron.  The CDC also just slashed their estimates on number of Omicron cases in US.  One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.  They have no idea of the number of cases, home tests aren't reported, many asymptomatic, it makes all the numbers from "helth prefesionals" wild ass guesses and a joak.

Thank goodness the Omicron is so much less harmful to people whether vaxxed or unvaxxed.
