1989 Junior Nationals

Back in the day I recall watching the 1989 Junior Nationals on some cable channel.  Corey Everson and Joe Fowler were commentators. At least three of the competitors are dead.

The heavyweight competitors were:
1  Kyle Norris.       died at 60
2  Robert Rothrock died at 59
3  Douglas Wentz.  I think he is still around... did a video interview with Palumbo posted 4 years ago.
4  Paul Demayo.    died at 37
5  Terrell Roberson. Dunno his status...

Anyone recognize the Light-HeavyWeights?

Carl Richards/Carlton Richards trained at our gym in Springfield Mass. back in the 80`s and 90`s with Jeff King,Chris Aceto,Mattt Dufresne,Artie Prince,Rich Roy, etc. etc......attended Springfield College when Jeff King did...black guy with a great build....still around the Boston Area as far as I know,still competing up to a few years ago, and still looks great last time I saw some pics of him.

I competed against Doug in ‘02 at the NPC NJ Physique.  He was real good.  He took 8th at the USAs the following week.  Great guy to talk with back stage.  I’m in the middle, Doug is next to me on the right.
