Inflation, high interest rates, etc.

Perhaps Peter Schiff's broken clock is about to right for a second time

Schiff's gimmick is similar to someone claiming daily that there's going to be a massive earthquake and then taking credit for predicting a massive earthquake when one happens.

If someone predicts that Henry Kissinger 'is going to die tomorrow' long enough, they could eventually successfully "predict" Henry Kissinger's death.

Yes, it certainly seems likely but there is one indicator that goes the other direction and that is the unemployment rate which has been in the 3.5 to 4.0 range under both Trump and Biden. In Jimmy Carter’s presidency it was upwards of 6 percent and under Bush Jr. 6 percent as well most of the time. Not sure what the economists think about whether unemployment plays into the equation and it doesn’t mean the average person feels anything but the pain of inflation (and lots of low paying jobs), but the current situation is somewhat different than before.

When someone else loses their job it's a recession.

When you lose your job it's a depression.
