Paging johnay falcoyay , should the number 3 refer to a half circle?

Me and my colleagues with falcon union agree when i use my nail clippers it takes exactly 3 clips on each finger nail , each tip is a half circle representing the number 3 . You cant make a decent clip in 2 clips.

So a circle is 6
