US in talks to sanction China
« on: September 13, 2022, 02:54:54 PM »
US in talks to put together sanction on China as a deterrent from invading Taiwan.

The US was unsuccessful in trying to get China to respond to the recent prods by them.

You didn’t react? Fuck it, let’s sanction them anyway because while they didn’t react and haven’t reacted for 40yrs, we believe they are about to react despite not reacting recently.

Interesting timing when Russia announce a withdrawal and ceasefire then 24hrs later the US is looking to sanction China for doing nothing.

Full on WW3 and the US is the wrecking ball.

This is all planned because the US is being run by a rogue, criminal cabal. Biden is obviously an installed puppet and nobody can deny that. If Trump cared about the future of his children and grandchildren he would have used the US military to take out this cabal. This needs to happen or billions of people might perish. No deals can be made with this cabal. They are not to be trusted because they are evil criminals. This cabal would rather destroy the world than face judgment.

Offshore jobs become onshore jobs due to deglobalisation. It was all about saving costs moving overseas but now we have huge inflation which makes domestic wages much more competitive.

We have the skills and education to build, run and maintain everything in place today. There might be oil fields in Russia but they were run by businesses in the West. Everything in China can be brought back here and China only knows how to steal IP, they don’t create awesome shit by themselves.

Majority of this stuff will come back home. Then we will have more friendly trade agreements with the US and Japan to help provide us stuff. Electronics used to be all made in Japan, then it moved
To China. We used to make steel and textiles and it all moved to China. We can take it all back, the skills are still here.

It’s merely cost related and that’s where the inflation helps provide a business case as local wages become cheaper. China wages aren’t cheap anymore like they were 20yrs ago and when you have unpredictable lockdowns and the threat of asset seizure, as a business part of risk management is bringing your production closer to home.

I think it's a big mistake for the US to pretend to sanction China.

They dump our bonds and stop trade with us and we're fucked. We saw how crippled we became when our supply chain slowed down. Possibly bringing production back to the USA would be nice in theory, but Americans are a lazy bunch, we're not disciplined cyborgs like Chinese workers that only take 1 day off every month to see their families and have nutritional IV bags connected to their veins with urinary and fecal catheters in place to foresee any human needs while they work endlessly around the clock.

We aren't built like the USA of the 1950s anymore. We're fat, effeminate, "woke", sucked in by "reality" TV shows, have an odd sense of entitlement with a disposition towards "quietly resigning" and have become too dependent on the government to save us.

We need to harden the fuck up before we go off China or else we will withdrawal worse than a Heroin junkie.

I think the US is 100% going to sanction China whether that is preemptive or whether China actually react poorly to something.

The debt argument becomes irrelevant because we end up buying our own bonds under yield curve control. The objective is assuring everybody else buys their own bonds at a rate faster than you, therefore your currency is stronger and therefore lower risk of capital flight.

The bond argument has been raging since I was 20 and guess what? No collapse. Even in the GFC, no collapse. Global pandemic, no collapse. Economic WW3, no collapse. 14yrs later when countries are buying their own bonds we have no collapse. It only collapses once all exits have been exhausted and we only just started the QE fiscal phase in full swing.

Agree with your comments about the workforce But I’d argue we gained huge efficiency but never backed off our white collar hours. with gains we increased consumption instead of keeping the consumption rate the same and gaining free time and therefore controlling stress/anxiety. If we went back to 1960s consumption level, with today’s technology and processes we probably would have automated 80% of it therefore greatly reduced work hours.

Agree with your last line and That’s what the societal unrest is for. Nobody had any problem being locked down but we went apeshit over lack of lack of genders and equality. I posted in another thread this is the exact same playbook at the 1970s as distractions for the people allow the govt/central banks to do their adjustments without protest. Nobody protested QE, you all took the stimmmy bucks, nobody protested shortages….but you sure as shit rioted in the streets that men should be allowed to compete in women’s sports, hence the playbook works.

China really need the EU as that’s who buys the most stuff from them.

US is utterly wrecking the EU of which the flow on effect is hitting China directly. The US is attacking. China by proxy.

Don't even get me started on how stupid this whole thing is. Americans get sucked by the mainstream media's trolling. They plant these psychological seeds of discord, heroes and villains emerge  within society (nonbinary vs traditional gender/woke vs nonwoke) and the government plays out their master plan knowing that people are too stupid to even realize what's going on right in front of them. Reminds me of George Soros' pet project Black Lives Matter, so many inner city minority youths got played like sock puppets and the ridiculous thing was that they would march and protest for free. They would put their livelihoods and legal records on the line to protest for an imaginary cause paid and bought for by a guy that's a self-professed enemy of the USA.

I digress, as this shit is mind melting.

China imports 80% of their food so they would starve in a war BUT we get most of our manufactured shit from them and it would take a while to rebuild the factories and who would work in them? Not "educated" morons with their liberal arts degrees. We kind of need each other.

It’s Not going to be good. We have more rate rises and energy and food inflation in Q4 yet to hit which leaves less to spend on consumer goods.

I had planned to order a Ducati street fighter and Ducati Panigale in Q4 but I’m going to wait until the new year. I’m hoping for a small window of fire sale opportunities on the used market.
