You work hard and boom you get sidelined so you need /have to take a bit of time off....no biggie,it might even be better for you in the longrun.
No pity pot shit here but in my case I missed 5 years and ate ike a slob......my first workout back was a pathetically shaky 5 pushups with my gut hitting the floor before my chest did and I had to really eke out that last shaky rep.
GUT WTF
....never had one in over 60 years but I did then !
Fast forward to now.....I trained each bodypart 6 days a week hitting each one twice.....one heavy,and one with far less volume.
Now I am starting to look good again and those 5 pushups are now 80 pound DB Inclines in textbook form.......I`ve used more weight but I no longer feel the need to do so.
NOW......yet another setback......losing weight rapidly and more than likely will have to have my Gall Bladder removed if things don`t take a turn for the better.
I`m OK though......cuz I swill NEVER quit.....it`s just that this sport is an unforgiving pastime/lifestlye......make great gains win a contest.....get sick....lose it overnight.
I`m not done yet,but my mind is fucking pissed......when I recover it will be with a vengance. ( I feel like Kurt Russell in Tombstone......and HELL is coming with me !!!) LOL
Look at the shitty hand Henda got dealt among others here.
Oh well a stumbling block....nothing new for me, and it fuels me for the future.
