Arrests in Manchester
« on: June 04, 2024, 07:48:58 AM »
For the members that live in or around Manchester, I have a buddy (former IFBB pro) who recently got arrested in Manchester. He is a US citizen, but his friends here in the states have no clue what he got arrested for (my suspicion is drugs of course).

Here in the USA, we are able to do criminal background checks online and most of the time for free. Is there a website people can go to in order to look up recent arrests and possible charges someone might have gotten in England, particularly in Manchester?

For context, this morning I went by Eva's in Greenwich Village (one of my favorite health food restaurants that is a known spot for IFBB pros) and when I asked about the guy from some of his closest friends that usually sit with him, they said he was in Manchester as of 10 days ago and about 6 days ago someone called to file a missing person's report at one of the Manchester police stations and they told the person that the guy wasn't missing, but instead tucked away after being arrested (they did not disclose what the charges were).

A GMP spokesman said: "At around 5.20pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 29 2024), officers executed a Section 23 warrant at a business premises on Fog Lane, Manchester. One man was arrested on suspicion of working illegally and the owner of the business will be interviewed at a later date for the supply of a Class C drug."

There's nothing like that.

You can only google the city's news and if anything pops up, you can guess based on clues like age or nationality.

When he's charged or sentenced and the case is big enough, they'll put his name/face in the news.

Once you become an IFBB pro, aren't you a pro for life?

isn't this the lure of the illustrious pro card? how does one become a former IFBB pro?

Could be. The man has a known history of dabbling with all sorts of street drugs, predominantly cocaine.

That might be one of the reasons there seem to be so many "pro's" nowadays? The more of them the more income for the IFBB.
